​Unlocking Six Decades of Australian Gemstones, Jewelery and Unique items…

​Authentic 1960s –1990s vintage jewellery, brought out from the Bank Vault after having been locked away for half a Century.​

​For 60 years, Gem Exports has been part of the Australian gemstone and jewellery industry.

We have not only been buying and selling gemstones over these five decades, but we have also manufactured jewellery and other items, some of which are absolutely unique, and which was kept aside rather than let go of.

Some items are one-of-a-kind and specialty items that define an era.

​As our business evolved, many of these original items were placed into a Bank Vault, effectively creating a 'time capsule' of Australian design and craftsmanship.

Today, we are slowly bringing some of these items out of the Bank Vault.

Vintage jewellery, like our Lapponia Jewellery, are “New Old Stock” from when Gem Exports was the sole Australasian agent and distributor for Lapponia’s products during the late 1970s.  

Many silver and gold items that you see on our site are not reproductions; they are authentic, 'New Old Stock' pieces from our own manufacturing history, now available to the public for the first time in decades.
