W300S These Australian rough Sapphire material, which when cut into cabochons becomes Star Sapphires, have been specially selected for setting into Silver(?) jewellery, especially small Silver rings. They are ideal for the creative jeweller who will make them into special pieces. They can me made intro unique and unusual jewellery, like where everyone is asking: "What is that in your ring?"
Some has broken faces which very nicely shows the crystalline make up of the stone and reflect light quite clearly, other ones may have a smooth face, but with a star sapphire type sheen.
They all of a smallish size, average weight is about 2.70 carats. The mm size range from about 7 x 5 and up to 11 x 9.
