(This is self evident to anyone by simply being able to see cracks coming to the surface of the stones, the very cracks that glass filling is supposed to fill so that the stones appear as if they have NO cracks!)
These Rubies were obtained in the late 1970's and/or early 1980's at which time all stones were hand cut and therefore far from perfect.
This can actually be beneficial for anyone wanting to create reproduction jewellery of bygone days.
The variety of shades of red can also make interesting jewellery where the various colours are combined in the one pieced of jewellery.
