One Lot of 24 Australian Polished Face Baroque Boulder Opal.

Sized from 20 to 30 mm High

These Opals were mined in Queensland, Australia, and are NATURAL with no treatment.

They were mined in the 1970's, when Boulder Opal was mined by the truck load, literally!

Some of these pieces are the unfinished stock from when the cutting factory I was a partner in decided to close down, others are from when I closed down my Silverform jewellery factory in the mid 1980's.

And, as is the case of much of my stock from those days; packed up, into storage and as the saying goes... "Out of sight, out of mind!"

But, it comes a time when a cleanup is required and now is the time with any unfinished Opal being polished and prepared for sale.

(Our Silverform jewellery was a special process, in those days, where we applied pure Silver (999) directly onto the Opal, as well as other stones.

A simple frame was created around the Opal, highlighting the beauty of the stone, rather than having all sorts of frilly and fancy designs surrounding the stone which would distract the eye from the Opal.)

My stones are 100% Australian, being: 'Mined, Cut and Polished in Australia'.

We do not import, promote or sell Synthetic or Man Made Opal, nor any non-Australian mined Opal.

On 27 July, 1993, The Australian Government proclaimed Opal as the National Gemstone of Australia!
