These Sapphires are of a very good quality, a quality no longer generally seen and are from around the 1970 - 1980 area.
As a matter of fact, the best quality Australian Sapphires, like these, were mixed in with Ceylon Sapphires by cutting factories in Thailand.
By mixing 10% to 20% of Australian Sapphires, which had a very low price per carat in compared with Ceylon Sapphires, but marketing and selling selling them all as Ceylon was very profitable.
