80106.0 - Australian Blue Sapphires 3.25 x 2.5 mm Oval Cut 20 Pieces 2.71 carats

These Sapphires are of a very good quality, a quality no longer generally seen and are from around the 1970 - 1980 area.

As a matter of fact, the best quality Australian Sapphires, like these, were mixed in with Ceylon Sapphires by cutting factories in Thailand. 

By mixing in say 10% Australian, which had a cost value far, far lower than Ceylon Sapphires, the rewards were great.
